BLU-U® is blue light photodynamic therapy that kills the P. acnes bacteria in your skin. Treatments are simple – you sit with your face close to the light for a short time, approximately a 17-minute session about once or twice per week. The treatments may go on for five weeks or so. It’s safe, it’s not hot, it’s not painful. After some weeks, the blue light can help control your acne. If you have moderate acne and are uncomfortable taking antibiotics or are unhappy with topical treatment results, BLU-U® blue light therapy may be something for you to try.

Psoriasis, Eczema/Dermatitis, and Vitiligo Treatment
Narrowband UVB is a common form of phototherapy used to treat skin diseases. “Narrow-band” refers to a specific wavelength of ultraviolet (UV) radiation proven to be the most beneficial component of natural sunlight for psoriasis and the treatment of many other skin conditions including eczema, vitiligo, and pruritus.
Actinic Keratoses and Acne Damage Treatment
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) combines a topical drug, called a photosensitizer, with a special light source to treat a variety of skin disorders and has recently emerged as an effective treatment for aging skin. Photodynamic therapy may be recommended to treat actinic keratoses (precancerous skin growths on sun-damaged areas), as well as moderate-to-severe acne, wrinkles, visible blood vessels, rosacea, certain cancers, including skin cancer, enlarged sebaceous glands, and psoriasis.
Psoriasis and Vitiligo Treatment
Laser therapy uses a pinpoint laser light to target psoriasis lesions without affecting the surrounding skin. Lasers use an intense light source that penetrates deeply into the skin and delivers more energy. This means each treatment is fewer treatments are required to get the results delivered from other forms of phototherapy, such as UVB or PUVA. Lasers are particularly helpful for the treatment of psoriasis on the hands and feet, and thickened localized plaques that may be slow to respond to topical treatments, such as corticosteroids. The Excimer laser targets an intense beam of ultraviolet B (UVB) light on the lesion, triggering a slowdown in skin cell growth and inflammation.
